Located at Alcantarilha, Aqualand is easily accessed via the N125 from all areas of the Algarve. There is plenty of free parking for visitors arriving by car, and for those preferring to let someone else do the driving, regular buses service the park from the major resorts.
The park´s installations are of excellent quality and are constantly updated, ensuring it continues to compete with the other Algarve water parks. There is plenty here to keep water park fans happy from morning till night.
The Anaconda is highly popular, with five tubes snaking different routes down to the base pool. One of the newest additions is the Banzai Boggan on which visitors slide down what feels like a sheer drop from a height of 23 metres. From here, the most adventurous move on to the Kamikaze. The highest of its kind in Portugal, this slide provides a short but very sweet descent from 36 metres in just four seconds. The Flying Carpets provide family fun and slightly less adrenalin as they snake their way down the long tubes on rubber rings.
The semi-Olympic swimming pool provides a pleasant place to relax and swim a few lengths, or alternatively guests can head for the pool at surf beach where they can jump and dive through waves as though they were in the ocean itself.
Children are well catered for at Aqualand. Rainbow beach offers them mini slides, mushroom showers and plenty of colourful fun in shallow waters. Here their parents can relax and watch them from the comfort of a sunlounger on one of this Algave water park´s many sun decks.
The park is well serviced by snack bars serving pizzas, burgers and pasta dishes as well as several ice cream kiosks. For those seeking more shade and a sit-down meal the restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes.
The on-site shop sells all the necessities for a day in the sun. Here visitors can stock up on sun cream, arm-bands, sunglasses and towels as well as gifts and mementos of their day.
Aqualand is located right in the heart of the Algarve and close to all its amenities. There is much to do in the area around the park but these are better saved for another day as this Algarve water park has enough to keep even the most demanding guests busy from dawn until dusk.
